The Laboratory of the Commercial Enterprise of the IGA Airports Construction Joint Venture provides services at Istanbul Airport with its expert staff.

Our laboratory, which started its operations as an environmental laboratory in 2024, provides services in the fields of water, wastewater, and soil analyses. As of 2026, it operates as an accredited laboratory for 46 parameters within the scope of the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.

Importance of Water Analysis

Regular monitoring of water quality is critically important for both ecosystem health and human
use. Water analyses in our country are carried out within the framework of the following legal
regulations:

• Regulation on Water Intended for Human Consumption: Establishes quality
  standards for drinking and domestic water.
• Regulation on the Management of Surface Water Quality: Regulates the
  quality of lakes, rivers, and other surface waters.
• Regulation on the Control of Water Pollution (SKKY): Sets standards aimed at
  preventing water pollution.
• Communiqué on Sampling and Analysis Methods: Defines the methods to be
  used in conducting water analyses.

Importance of Soil Analyses

Regular analysis of soil quality is of great importance for sustainable agriculture and environmental management. The use of healthy and productive soil in agricultural production is only possible through proper fertilization and irrigation strategies. At the same time, monitoring soil pollution in industrial facilities and urban areas plays a critical role in preventing environmental risks. In our country, soil analyses are carried out within the scope of the following legal regulations:

• “Regulation on the Control of Soil Pollution and Point Source Contaminated Sites” – Monitors and controls industrial soil pollution.
• “Regulation on the Use of Domestic and Urban Treatment Sludge on Soil” – Ensures the analysis of treatment sludges to be used on soil.
• “Communiqué on Sampling and Analysis Methods” – Regulates the execution of soil analyses in accordance with scientific methods.
