iGA Istanbul Airport Was Presented From The Skytrax

At the "World Airports Awards 2023" held by Skytrax, iGA Istanbul Airport achieved great success by winning the "World's Best Family-Friendly Airport" and "Southern Europe's Best Airport" awards. It was announced that iGA Istanbul Airport had risen from eighth to sixth place on the World's 10 Best Airports list.

iGA Istanbul Airport, one of the most important global transfer hubs, was voted as the Best Airport in Southern Europe by airline users at the World Airport Awards organised by the UK-based aviation rating agency, Skytrax, held at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on 15 March 2023.

During the awards ceremony, iGA Istanbul Airport was also presented with the title of World's Most Family-Friendly Airport. iGA Istanbul Airport was selected as the World's Best Airport in the airport with over 60 million passengers category.

iGA Istanbul Airport, which was ranked eighth on the World's Best Airports list, as determined by the World Airport Awards last year, achieved another success and rose to sixth place this year.

iGA Istanbul Airport, registered as a "5-Star Airport" in 2020 and 2022 at the awards held by the London-based aviation institute, Skytrax, founded in 1989 by the Airports Council International and which has been presenting awards since 2000, surpassed 550 airports at the 2022 World Airport Awards and won three awards.

Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax congratulated iGA Istanbul Airport for winning the awards of "Southern Europe's Best Airport" and the "World's Best Family-Friendly Airport". Plaisted commented on the awards, "The past few years have been very challenging for airports around the world. As we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, it is pleasing to see passenger numbers return to normal and that iGA Istanbul Airport is recognized as a leading airport by its customers."
