As a global leader in connectivity, iGA Istanbul Airport continues to honor the legacy of our glorious history by supporting village schools along the route of the Great Offensive, the most critical turning point of the War of Independence, through its “Road to Victory” project, which has been ongoing for 6 years.
As Türkiye’s ‘monument of victory,’ iGA Istanbul Airport keeps its respect for history and faith in the future alive through the “Road to Victory” project. Conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, the project provides various forms of support to village schools located along the route of the Great Offensive, one of the most significant symbols of the Turkish nation’s unity and resistance
This year, as part of the project, an Information Technology classroom was established at Şehit Mustafa Özdemir Middle School in Eskişehir to facilitate students’ access to technology and support their digital skills. Additionally, a multi-purpose sports field was completed at Nurettin Topçu Primary School in Eskişehir to encourage physical development, teamwork, and socialization.
Aiming to create social impact alongside keeping historical consciousness alive, the “Road to Victory” project covers Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, Uşak, Eskişehir, Balıkesir, Aydın, Manisa, İzmir, Bursa, Bandırma, and Erdek.
Starting in 2021 in the Garipçe Village of Afyon, the project continued with the Kınık Village School and Karacaören Primary School in Sinanpaşa, Afyon. An IT classroom and a library with 3,000 books were established at Fuat Paşa Middle School in Kütahya. Last year, strengthening the educational infrastructure of Bozkuş Primary School and Bozkuş Middle School in Uşak, iGA set up an IT classroom and a library in the schools. The iGA Social Solidarity Club also provided students with stationery, books, and toys.
