iGA Istanbul Airport, one of the world's most important global transfer hubs, is making significant progress in its "Victory Road" project, which it launched in 2021 as part of the August 30th Victory Day celebrations, a symbol of the Turkish Nation's unity and determination.
In the third year of the project, Fuat Pasha Middle School in Kütahya has been renovated.
With iGA Istanbul Airport's respect for history and belief in the future, the spirit of the Great Offensive, one of the most important symbols of the Turkish nation's unity and resilience, is being revived through the "Victory Road" project.
The project, initiated by iGA Istanbul Airport three years ago in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, began in 2021 with the basic renovations of the school in Garipçe Village in Afyon, where the Great Offensive began, and the construction of a modern computer lab and sports hall. The "Victory Road" project, which follows the route of the Great Offensive, continued with Kınık Village School and Karacaören Primary School in Sinanpaşa, Afyon.
In 2024, iGA Istanbul Airport established a Computer Technologies class and a library with 3,000 books suitable for middle school students at Fuat Pasha Middle School in Kütahya, the second city on the "Victory Road." The project will continue in the coming years with village schools in other cities along the "Victory Road" route (Afyon, Kütahya, Eskişehir, Bursa, Balıkesir, Manisa, and İzmir).
August 30th Victory Day Celebrated Enthusiastically at the Terminal
As part of the August 30th Victory Day events, iGA Istanbul Airport was decorated with flags, and flags were distributed to passengers at the terminal. The 102nd anniversary of the victory, which marked the Turkish Nation's struggle for independence and freedom, concluded with a parade accompanied by a band.
