iGA Istanbul Airport named ‘World’s Best’ Once Again

Readers of the international travel magazine Travel + Leisure have once again voted for the “World’s Top 10 International Airports” and for the second consecutive year, iGA Istanbul Airport claimed the top spot on the list.

In the annual survey conducted by Travel + Leisure, one of the world’s leading travel and lifestyle publications, iGA Istanbul Airport outshone all competitors to once again earn the title of the “World’s Best Airport,” as voted by the magazine’s readers. Known for its commitment to continuous improvement and a customer-centric approach, iGA Istanbul Airport has consistently won the admiration of both international aviation organizations and travelers around the globe. The airport now reaffirmed its position as the best in the world for the second year in a row.

The Travel + Leisure awards ceremony held in New York City, where the magazine is headquartered — gathered industry leaders and distinguished guests. iGA Istanbul Airport’s award was presented to Corporate Communications Director Gökhan Şengül by Travel + Leisure Editor-in-Chief Jacqueline Gifford.

Speaking at the ceremony, Şengül said:

According to Travel + Leisure readers, airports were evaluated based on accessibility, check-in experience, security, dining options, shopping, and overall design. iGA Istanbul Airport, which first entered the magazine’s prestigious ranking in 2021 as the first Turkish airport ever to do so, has once again proven its excellence by being named the best in the world for 2024. Following iGA Istanbul Airport in this year’s top ten were some of the world’s most prominent airports, including those in Singapore, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Japan, India, and Hong Kong underscoring iGA’s remarkable achievement on the global stage.
