What is Istanbul World Connect (IWC)?

Istanbul World Connect (IWC) is a convenient self-transfer service developed by iGA Istanbul Airport and Trip.com, Istanbul Airport's "Partner of Choice and one of the World's Top OTAs."

Example: A passenger can use IST to purchase a ticket from Origin Chengdu (CTU) with the destination of Stuttgart (STR). Even if a passenger plans a single trip, this passenger will buy two different tickets. The first sector from CTU to IST will be operated by Sichuan Airlines and the second sector will be operated by Turkish Airlines to Stuttgart. There is no collaboration requirement between two airlines (Interline/Codeshare, etc.) to purchase an "IWC ticket."

Even without collaboration between airlines, passengers will not have to worry about missing their connecting flights at iGA Istanbul Airport since Trip.com will insure the next connecting flight included in the ticket in case of delays/cancellations of the first/second flight.
