İstanbul New Airport Pushed The Button for 2018 Employment

Applications for over 3500 security officers, who will be hired by İGA Security Services Inc. to serve at Istanbul New Airport, begin this month. Istanbul new Airport continues to contribute to Turkish economy by creating more jobs.  The security staff, to be employed at Istanbul New Airport, will also be provided fringe benefits such as free lodging and private social spaces.

İstanbul New Airport, which will be the world’s largest airport to be built under a single roof from scratch, continues to support employment in its operational phase as well, just like it did during the construction phase. Currently more than 31 thousand people are employed at İstanbul New Airport’s project and as of 1st of February, another 3,500 security officers, men and women, will be hired through the announcements placed in career platforms. Security officers will work both in ground and air services.

İGA Security Services Inc. seek the following qualities in security officers: to hold private security ID card in line with Law Number 5188, to be preferably younger than 35 and available to work in shifts. In addition to these qualities candidates should have completed their military service, should be well spoken and equipped with advanced verbal communication skills. Such candidated can apply for the position as of February through career platforms and İGA contact office.

Candidates, whose applications are deemed satisfactory, will then be called for interviews. Those candidates, passing the interviews successfully in the second stage, will start, in April, a comprehensive training program in international standards on Civil Aviation Security at the Training Center of Hasan Kalyoncu University in Mecidiyeköy, Istanbul. Candidates, who pass the training program, will start to take office starting from the beginning of July. Free lodging for maximum four people and social spaces will also be provided for employed women and men security officers, based on need.

İGA, responsible for constructing and operating the airport for 25 years, has set up a private security company within the parent company in order to compose a group of security officers who are experts especially in the field of civil aviation. Moreover, as 3 thousand 500 security officers begin active duty in Istanbul New Airport, the airport will have the highest number of security staff in Turkey, compared to other airports.
